About The Session

Breast cancer is increasing at an alarming rate worldwide. Early detection is key to increasing survival rates. Over time, screening tests have become available to detect early cancer in vulnerable populations as well as those with no prior family history of cancer. This session will be full of myth-busting information about breast cancer, with a special focus on how to ensure early detection. Looking forward to seeing you!

About The Facilitator
Dr. Rafeah Khan

I am radiologist with around 10 years of work experience. I have the Chair of Radiology at The Indus Hospital and Health Network since 2023. Currently I am working with a group of radiologists from all over Pakistan in developing the first National Breast Society of Pakistan. Every October along with the breast surgeons from my own hospital we conduct multiple sessions in various schools and companies raising awareness of breast cancer.

Dr. Mahreen Rasool

It?s been 22 years since I have been practicing breast imaging and radiology after my MCPS in 2002. I have worked in different teaching institutions of Karachi like Karachi X Rays, JPMC, DUHS, AKUH. I also worked in Jeddah and Dubai for a while. For the last 5 years I have been associated with Shaukat Khanum Hospital. My passion in breast imaging and I proudly took the lead in establishing the first National Breast Radiology Society in Pakistan.
