This session is a support circle focused on dealing with the grief of losing a pet'an experience that is not widely validated. Participants will share their experiences as part of a support group. This will be followed by a meditation on grief and guided visualization, with a closure activity at the end.
I am a Clinical Psychologist by degree and an Artist by heart. My sessions are usually based around Mindfulness, Expressive Arts, and Support Circles of sorts for both children and adults. This session in particular comes from a personal experience of loss during which I realised the intensity of how much external support grief requires and the important role it plays in healing, particularly when it's not a widely validated grief.
