A series of drawings imagining a community living space without men
Ayesha (aka Jazbaati Aurat) is a multidisciplinary artist from Pakistan. She dabbles in graphic design, improvised theatre, illustration, mindfulness, stand-up comedy and musical improv. Using these disciplines, she has worked with people of various backgrounds and ages, as a teacher, collaborator or a student. Being really moved by improvised theatre, she often derives from it and aims to bring abundance and rawness to her art practice. She is a Penguin published author and illustrator of her graphic novel titled, Sarah: The Suppressed Anger of the Pakistani Obedient Daughter.
