Contact Improvisation: Touch, listen, move
About The Session

Introduction to an area of Contemporary Dance which is known as Contact Improvisation. It involves the exploration of one's body in relationship to others by using the fundamentals of sharing weight, touch, and movement awareness. It enables creative individuals to connect with their bodies and make art through contact with other dancers, which becomes a dialogue of improvised movements. It involves Floorwork, another deeper study of Contemporary Dance, which changes the body's relationship with gravity, and requires dancers to navigate between higher and lower levels. Stay, move, dance.
